Energy Research Switzerland

Research, pilot and demonstration projects are of central importance for the adaptation and further development of the Swiss energy system. Through its research programmes, the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) provides subsidiary funding for research projects that correspond to the priorities of the SFOE's current energy research concept. The focus is on application-oriented and development-related research projects.
As part of its pilot and demonstration programme, the SFOE promotes the development and testing of new technologies, solutions and approaches in the areas of economical and efficient energy use, energy transmission and storage, and the use of renewable energies.
